To improve access to care, Kleber Health Clinic offers nurse appointments for many health concerns. If you go to the Nurse Run Clinic, you’ll see a nurse instead of your usual health care provider. This is a walk-in clinic.
Types of Nurse Driven Appointments Available

Eligibility: Kleber Clinic empaneled patients 
When: 8 – 11:30 a.m. for the Nurse Run Clinic 
 

In-Person Services

  • Pregnancy testing
  • Upper respiratory tract infection
  • Common cold 
  • Sore throat 
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Allergy symptoms - runny nose, itchy, watery eyes, sinus congestion
    • We don’t see skin rashes or allergy symptoms caused by food or medication.
  • Multi-day blood pressure checks 
  • Suture removal 
  • Sexually transmitted infections
  • Vaginitis 
  • Shot or medication administration (Depo, B12, Testosterone, etc.) 

In-Between Encounters

  • Medication refills (No narcotics, pain killers, anti-anxiety medication, ADHD/ADD medication, or controlled substances)
  • Continuity of care referrals

It may take us 72 business hours to respond to telephone (TCON) appointment requests.
Children and elderly patients have special needs. These patients should see a provider in person. Because of this, we don’t see children under the age of 14 and adults over the age of 60 at nurse appointments for the following concerns:
Upper respiratory tract infections Common cold Sore throats UTIs Allergy symptoms.

The MHS Nurse Advice Line provides: 

  • Registered nurses who can answer questions, provide advice on care at home, and help you decide if you need to seek immediate care
  • An audio health library with information on hundreds of topics 
  • Help with taking care of ongoing conditions such as diabetes or asthma 
  • A nurse who can make appointments at your military hospital or clinic (in some locations)
