Patient Liaison Services
Why call a patient liaison?
- Patient liaisons are available to help patients in emergency and inpatient situations.
- If you are going to the ER and unsure of where to go based on your location and/or symptoms – The Patient Liaison will direct you to the facility that services your symptom(s) and reach out to inform the hospital announcing your arrival.
- They can assist with verbal translations and will visit patients each day they’re in the hospital.
- Patient liaisons are on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In emergency situations, it's especially important to call so they can communicate with the Patch clinic and potentially the chain of command that you’re being treated in a Host Nation hospital.
During duty hours, for non-emergent medical care coordination, questions, and support call:
DSN: 590-1606
CIV: 06371-9464-1606. A patient liaison will return your call within (2) business days.
For all medical emergencies BOTH during and after duty hours to include weekends: Call the
MP Office at:
DSN 110; 314-596-3102 or 314-431-3102
CIV: +49 (0)7031 15 3102. The MPs will be able to get you in touch with a patient liaison and provide timely assistance.
Remember: The Patch Clinic does not have an ER or Urgent Care.
A medical emergency is anything that threatens life, limb or eyesight. If you have a medical emergency go immediately to your nearest emergency room or call an ambulance. Dial 112 for ambulance services. Once, stable, you can follow up with a Patient Liaison for additional assistance.
