The Grafenwoehr Dental Clinic is operated by U.S. Army Dental Department Activity Bavaria. General dentistry and selected specialty services are provided for active duty personnel. Active-duty military members are encouraged to enroll their dependents in the TRICARE Dental Program for care.

Important Information

Please keep the following in mind when scheduling an appointment with the Grafenwoehr Dental Clinic: 

• Priority of service: Active-duty service members, active components, reserve component on orders.
• Active-duty SM family members and retirees are offered same day appointments for cleanings and exams only on a space available basis. Reference TRICARE website for more information: https://www.tricare-overseas.com/beneficiaries/resources/dental-resources.
• Sick call triage is provided on a space available basis for SM family members and retirees.
• Children 12 and under must always have guardian/parental supervision while visiting the dental clinic. Children cannot go into the operatory when the parent(s) are having a procedure.

Dental Options Outside of Military Dental Clinics

For dental care outside of a military dental clinic, TRICARE offers dental coverage for service members, families and survivors. Additionally, retired service members, their families and certain survivors may qualify to purchase dental coverage through the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program.
