CYS / Sports Physicals
DUE TO DEPLOYMENT OF MHS GENESIS:
We would like to provide additional guidance on completing CYS School and Sports physicals this 2023 season in preparation for the upcoming reduced access to care period later this summer due to MEDDAC Bavaria’s transition to the new MHS GENESIS Electronic Health Record system. We encourage families with school aged children to plan accordingly and schedule their CYS physical during our CYS School and Sports Physical summer rodeo event starting 20 June through 21 July 2023. Scheduling CYS physicals now, before 20 June will cause the physical to expire before the end of the 2023-2024 school year and will risk disenrollment from CYS or school programs. We apologize in advance that we cannot guarantee readily available CYS renewal appointment access after this summer rodeo event, as we approach our reduced access to care period beginning July 2023.
U.S. Army Health Clinic Grafenwoehr is conducting its annual Child & Youth Services (CYS) school health & sports-specific physical rodeo in advance of the new 2023-2024 school year to occur on the dates on the above flyer. A health & sports physical must be completed annually, prior to the start of the sports season for children participating in youth sports and fitness programs. The best time of the year to get your child’s physical, if possible, is in July. This way your child’s physical will be valid for all sports for one full year.
As an important note, this CYS school health and sports physical rodeo is the best opportunity for Non-TRICARE Prime or Plus families and their children (not empaneled at the health clinic / no assigned Primary Care Manager (PCM)) to take advantage of this special Space-A appointment offering to receive an annual health and sports physical. We highly encourage non-TRICARE Prime or Plus enrolled community to use this very limited opportunity to access the health clinic for your child’s school health and sports physical needs.
