Important Online Booking Information section below to determine if your specific healthcare concern is eligible for online booking and to avoid any potential scheduling issues.

Online Appointment Booking Guidelines
Please note: Urgent/emergent concerns should not be booked using Patient Portal. Certain appointments cannot be booked via the Patient Portal. Review the qualifying reasons below to assist you in using the Patient Portal for scheduling your healthcare concern. Improperly scheduled appointments
are at risk for cancelation. If canceled, you will be notified by an automated email notification through Patient Portal messaging in advance or be notified by our healthcare team in-person or by phone the day of the appointment, prompting you to reschedule.
How to book a Patient Portal Appointment
Online Navigation Appointment Steps:
•Login to the MHS Genesis Patient Portal
•Select Appointments in the top banner
•Choose: “Schedule Appointment”, then select family member
•Choose: “Schedule an Appointment by Provider” (assigned PCM)
or Choose “Family Medicine In Person Visit” (drop down box). When booking, please select "PC FTR 20" as the appointment type.
• Search Location Name- Type in “Grafenwoehr”, then choose Apply. Then select the team color to which your PCM belongs:

What can you book on Patient Portal
Please use the Patient Portal to schedule a visit if the following reasons/concerns apply:
- Routine new or follow-up health concerns. Do NOT book online for any immediate, urgent or emergent concerns.
- Routine health physicals (i.e., well child, CYS). For well child visits, the child’s age must be at the specified age interval (not younger) at the time of the appointment.
- Military profile follow-ups or extension requests.
- Medication refill/renewal requests for controlled medication (i.e., ADHD-Adderall, ANXIETY– Zanex, SLEEP–Ambien, Testosterone, etc.) that the patient has a previously signed pharmacy receipt for.
What cannot be booked on Patient Portal
Please do NOT book online if the following medical reasons/concerns apply:
Unfortunately, not all appointments can be booked online. Below is a list of appointments that should be booked by Calling the Central Appointments line and or messaging your Care Teams for assistance:
- Military Physicals [to include: PHAs, Flight, Retirement/Separation/ Commissioning, SF, Warrant Officer physicals.]
- Initial Newborn visits
- Specialty Care appointments [to include: Audiology, Behavioral Health, Dermatology, Nutrition, Physical Therapy]
- Procedures to include: Annual pelvic exam-PAP, Botox, circumcision, IUD, joint injection, Nexplanon,, vasectomy, etc.)
- Lab requests and reviews
- Host Nation medical reports and results
- Referral requests
Cancellation Policy
To manage the challenges of online appointment scheduling, we apologize in advance for any potential facility cancellations of online appointments that were not scheduled correctly. If an appointment is deemed necessary to be canceled by our healthcare team, patients can expect to be notified by an automated email notification through the patient portal messaging in advance or in-person or via phone by the healthcare team on the day of the appointment. We kindly ask you for your understanding and flexibility as we implement this new feature in order to afford eligible beneficiaries with improved accessibility and equitable access to care through proper online booking.
