U.S. Army Health Clinic SHAPE

U.S. Army Health Clinic SHAPE is located on the SHAPE Base Support Group Garrison, approximately 40 miles south of Brussels in the town of Casteau, Belgium. SHAPE is an international, joint community composed of multiple U.S. military commands, and is the headquarters of Allied Command Operations, commanded by the Supreme Allied Commander Europe. This strategic international joint environment makes the SHF one of the most uniquely different clinics in the Army inventory. The NATO health care mission has belonged to the U.S. Army since the 196th Station Hospital was assigned to Paris, France, in 1955. Additionally, the SHF provides regional support to the BENELUX region (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) as needed.

 

SHAPE Healthcare Facility COVID-19 Vaccine

The CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 illness.

Initial Screening

Patients will be screened upon entering the building and may be asked to visit the Acute Respiratory Clinic (ARC) for specific COVID screening rather than proceeding to their appointment. 

COVID-19 Screening Location

Personnel requiring a COVID-19 test may now visit the Acute Respiratory Clinic (ARC) located to the right side of the SHAPE HCF entrance – see picture.




The ARC will be open for symptomatic, sick, close contact and official travel testing for COVID-19.

PLEASE NOTE: we only test for official travel, not leisure travel, and we need to see proof of official travel. We are experiencing a longer turnaround time for results due to the increase in testing since school ended. TRICARE Online and Patient Administration are the best places to get results. Please allow 24-72 hours for results and plan accordingly with your mission travel. The lab does not provide test results.

The Primary Care Clinic will continue to see

  • Well Baby Checks (WBC) for anyone under two years old
  • Provider requested follow ups (patient will present with SHAPE HCF CHECK OUT SHEET marked appropriately when seen)
  • EFMP for upcoming PCS/move
  • Acute symptoms
