Overview:

The Orthopedic Services at U.S. Army Health Clinic-Vicenza offers evaluation and treatment for sports injuries, foot and ankle injuries, congenital deformities, management of arthritis in conjunction with rheumatology, and oversees the rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal problems. Orthopedics also offers management of orthopedic pain or disability that has failed conservative therapy. All services are by referral.

Scope of Services:

Procedures offered at VCZ Orthopedics include, knee aspiration and injection including PRP, steroid, or viscosupplementation, shoulder injections (subacromial, LH biceps tendon, AC joint, glenohumeral), wrist ganglion cyst aspiration/injection, hand/wrist injections including De Quervain’s tendinopathy, trochanteric bursitis injection and percutaneous pin removal.
Other services offered: Fracture Management: Referral to Ortho after initial evaluation and imaging by PCM, Grossly unstable fractures/joint OR fractures with neurovascular compromise must be seen at the local ER, Post-Surgical Follow Up, Cast Management and Fit for Duty Evaluations.

Eligible Beneficiaries:

The Orthopedics department provides beneficiary counseling for ALL TRICARE Beneficiaries and offers direction and guidance for U.S. Government employees who support the mission within the Vicenza Military Community. Provide education to retirees and their families. This office can provide general information about the services available in the clinic as well as assist with meeting patient needs as required.
