Vicenza Army Health Clinic Services

Women’s Health and Pregnancy

Overview:

Women's Health refers to comprehensive women’s health care as well as health issues that are unique to women, including pregnancy, menopause, and conditions of the female pelvic organs.

Scope of Service:

We provide many women’s health services, including pelvic exams, pap smears, contraceptive management, pre-conception counseling, and follow up of routine post-partum issues including contraception, breastfeeding support, and post partum mood concerns. Your primary care clinician can refer you to providers for mammograms, pelvic floor physical therapy, and other specialized gynecological needs.

We are unable to provide routine obstetrics care at the clinic. If you think you may be pregnant, please contact the Primary Care Clinic for testing. If you are found to be pregnant, you will be given a referral to obtain services at a local facility. During your pregnancy, the Primary Care Clinic can see you for routine health conditions such as joint pain, headaches, or acute viral illnesses.

Eligible Beneficiaries:

Tricare Prime beneficiaries will be assigned a PCM and are eligible to be seen for women’s health needs and referred as needed.

Tricare Select beneficiaries will be seen on a space available basis for acute issues only. Referrals will not be placed.

Other Health Insurance (OHI) with U.S Citizenship are not eligible for women’s health and pregnancy services.

Tricare Plus beneficiaries currently assigned a PCM will maintain women’s health services. This program closed in 2019 and is not eligible for new members. If Tricare Plus members move Tricare coverage to a new region, they will not be re-instated into the Plus Program and must find a PCM on the economy upon return. Patients must be seen regularly to maintain their Plus benefit eligibility. Plus enrollments are not transferrable to other clinics or locations within the Tricare Region.

Tricare Retiree beneficiaries will be seen on a space available basis for acute issues only. Referrals will not be placed.
